Global Investment House (Global) announced today that it held a blood donation day, in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank in Kuwait, in accordance with the company’s social responsibility program.

Global said that many members of the company’s staff participated in the blood donation campaign, held at the company’s headquarters. The Central Blood Bank in Kuwait visited Global for one day and received blood donations from the Global staff.

Mrs. Khawla Al-Roomi, Senior Vice President Human Resources & Administration said “Global strongly believes in helping the community whenever possible. Donating blood is important as it could save many lives, which is why we took the initiative to organize the campaign”.

A special medical unit, comprising --- nurses and --- doctors, were present during the blood donation day, which took place between 9:00AM and 1:00 PM. Throughout the morning, employees visited the make shift clinic run by the Central Blood Bank in Kuwait to participate in this event.

“We are very happy with the response the campaign received as the Global employees seized this opportunity to contribute to the society. They have set a good example to the society and were rewarded with the sense of well-being as their blood could save many lives.” she added.

“We encourage our staff to donate blood as this is an excellent opportunity for individuals to give back to society at the same time showing support to our local community and hospitals,” Mrs. Al-Roomi concluded.
